Business Leaders Rally Around High Profile Sporting Events
Arizona Organizing Committee and Arizona Commerce Authority Announce January CEO Forum
The Arizona Organizing Committee (AOC), in partnership with the Office of the Governor and the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), has announced initial details for the 2016 Championship CEO Forum, a program designed to promote long-term economic impact through business growth.
Building on the momentum of a successful Super Bowl XLIX program, the forum will utilize a similar format to coincide with the College Football Playoff (CFP) National Championship and surrounding community events in January. CEOs in attendance will meet one-on-one with local leaders and participate in relevant industry roundtables while enjoying exclusive access to college football entertainment and events.
The forum will provide a platform to introduce Arizona’s pro-business environment and thriving cities to key corporate decision makers nationwide, showcasing the abundance of opportunities that make Arizona an ideal place to relocate and expand their business. Three marquee events anchor the four-day forum including the Pre-Game Chalk Talk that will be held the morning of the national championship game on January 11.
The Office of the Governor and the ACA are working in tandem with statewide economic development partners to identify leading, North American-based companies poised for growth to attend. Additional announcements regarding forum sponsors, speakers and programming will be announced later this fall.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey
“Arizona is proud to host the Championship CEO Forum and to once again show the world, with all eyes on us, that our state is open for business. When it comes to opportunity, quality of life, and the potential to be successful, Arizona is unrivaled. As leaders from across the country gather at this event, we look forward to showing them everything that our great state has to offer.”
Sandra Watson, President & CEO, Arizona Commerce Authority
“The ACA is focused on growing Arizona’s economy and facilitating the creation of quality jobs by attracting and supporting companies in high-value industries. The Championship CEO Forum aligns with that mission by engaging key leaders in a customized program designed to introduce them to opportunities for business growth in Arizona.”
Brad Wright, Co-chair of the Arizona Organizing Committee
“In 2016, all eyes will be on Arizona. We are looking to leaders in our community to support initiatives like the Championship CEO Forum, helping to ensure that the significant attention that comes with hosting the game benefits Arizona and our local economy for many years to come.”
